Master of Business Administration (MBA)

The Professional Master of Business Administration

The Professional Master of Business Administration (PMBA) is designed for students with an undergraduate degree in either business or in a non-related field. Leveling courses are offered for the non-business undergraduate. Business undergraduates may require fewer leveling courses, if any, before beginning the core courses.

The PMBA is an 11-month, weekend MBA program designed for the experienced business professional. Unique combinations of classroom and web-based learning accommodate the busy schedules of business executives. Classes are taught on Friday evening and Saturday, two weekends per month. Web-based assignments enhance the program and allow the student to work around his or her own schedule. Students can begin the program any month.

Will your employer contribute toward your graduate degree?  If so, you are eligible to take advantage of our Corporate Partner Program where Lipscomb matches your employer's scholarship offer up to 25% of the PMBA tuition.  Learn about Lipscomb's Corporate Partner Program.

The curriculum is grouped into three categories: Leveling Courses, Core Courses and Concentration Electives. Most courses are taught exclusively for graduate students. Thirty hours are required for graduation, consisting of eighteen hours in the required core courses and twelve hours of concentration electives. If "no concentration" is chosen, then 30 hours of core courses are required.
